cr15_1.jpg Hole Number 15,  a Par 3, 168 yards with wind gusting right to left from 15 to 40 MPH!  A beautiful view overlooking the ocean.  At the edge of the grass is a rocky cliff, about 70 feet down to the sandy beach.  Several of my golf balls landed down there, with a little help from the wind, but not this time.  I hit the green with a 5 iron.

cr15_2.jpg Hole No 15.  On the green, but if you look close you will see my pitching wedge lying on the green with my putter.   Even though I hit the green, it is sloped and my ball rolled off (no backspin on the ball either), so I had to chip back on to within 8 feet of the pin.  I made the put for par.  Straight in, sometimes the hardest putt to make.  Again, another lovely view.

cr9_1.jpg Hole No.  9.  From the Blue Tees.  Another lovely view.  A very Nasty par 4.  To the right corner of the water, it is about 265 - 270 yards, and that is where my tee shot landed.  One of a few I hit this trip that went reasonably straight and far.

t8_2.jpg Another lovely view.  From where my ball was to the green, it was about 120 yards.  Again this is normally a nine iron, but the lie was downhill and I was not hitting downhill lies squarely this day, so I used an 8 iron with a 2/3d's swing and hit the fringe around the green.  A chip and a putt for par. I shot an 8 on this hole also, at another time.  It is tough, if your first or second shot is off, and if both are off, good luck!!

cactus.jpg Cactus are very scenic visually, but are not a golf ball's best friend.  My ball actually hit this monster, but the cactus survived.  My next shot was into the brush, and it did not survive. I never found it.
