Cement requires 60% Ca content. So, to make cement only from Anorthite, it would require 2.5 times as much anorthite as calcium carbonate to make a ton of cement.

This means that CO2 could be avoided in the production of cement, but the cement would triple in price and there is a limited quantity of anorthite as compared to calcium carbonate on the planet. It is more feasible to reduce the CO2 content, by substituting anorthite fro some of the calcium carbonate used for the production of cement without radically increasing the cost of the cement.
