| My Favorite Hotel, The Crillon , located
on Place de la Concorde, a few blocks from Champs de Elysee and
the Lourve. The Crillon was constructed by the Architect Gabriel
in 1758 for Louis XV as one of his palaces. It is a beautiful
building, and some photograph's follow. I stayed there on several
occasions and is one of the best Hotels in Paris ( not one of the
trendiest, but one of the Best). The Oblisque (tall monument in
the center) was errected on the spot of the famous guilottine of
the French Revolution. Yes, this is where Louis and Marie lost
their heads! |
