ELKO, NV MAY 28 2010 TRIP INFO
We are set to meet Friday Morning in Elko (Meeting place to be determined) to drive to the Barrick Cortez Valley Mine Site. We will return to Elko for the evening … We are working on a dinner site for the group for that night. Plan on about $30.00 for dinner with the SME…. (about same as our meetings).
· Box Lunches will be provided (we think about $10.00 and must be prepaid before the trip date).
· Breakfast on your own before leaving for Cortez Valley
· Meeting place to be determined
· Dinner will be in Elko at a place to be determined.
· Dinner estimated to be about $30.00 (our regular price for meetings)
Saturday AM we will be meeting again in Elko and driving to Eureka for an AM visit to Barrick's Ruby Hill project. Box lunches will be provided (again, plan on about $10.00 each). Our afternoon trip will be a visit to the Staccato Gold Resources prospect in Eureka. After the Staccato visit the group will drive to Ely for the Night.
SME has booked 10 rooms at the Historic Hotel Nevada ($49-$69 - 775.289.6665)… 12 of the rooms are non-smoking, 3 are smoking… so you need to book right away if you are planning to join us. We have the Frontier room booked for our dinner Saturday night. We are waiting to hear from the chef for the night menu. Likely we have two or three options to order.
· Meet in Elko for drive to Eureka- time and meeting place to be determined
· Lunch will be provided for about $10.00 must be prepaid
· Drive to Ely after field visit to Ruby Hill and Staccato
· Dinner will be in the Frontier room at the Historic Hotel Nevada
Estimated costs per person:
2 Lunches (@$10.00 each) = $20.00
2 dinners (@ $30 ea) = $60.00
Rooms in Elko and Ely (@the Historic Hotel Nevada) = on your own.
Our Mining Hosts request that you bring your Hardhats, have some type of safety glasses, hearing protection, The company requests that all visitors wear steel toed boots and they cannot provide them.. No shorts or sleeveless shirts are allowed.
We must provide a list of attendees in advance to our hosts. If you are planning on attending this field trip, please e-mail Dinah or Doug at terramins@gmail.com. We will be asking for prepayment for lunches etc. at the April meeting. Look for more details in SME e-mails.
